Member Spotlight: Sheryl & Beryl

Today we feature twin sisters from America living in Japan. Both are members of JazzVoice.com and have exciting and varied careers including singing, teaching English, voice coaching and even creating and selling a collection of African themed head coverings and face masks.
They got their start in the 70's when they toured the Caribbean as nightclub singers and dancers in their group Bridgwater Duplex.
Sheryl is a pianist as well and was a founding member of the groups The Stylistics, The Cleftones, Drifter, Shirelles and the Crystals. After graduating from the Conservatory of Music at Lawrence University where she received her degree in music, she studied with the late jazz pianists Mary Lou William, Jaki Byard, Norman Simmons.
